Question for Sam & Sue: How did you meet? What is your proposal story?

"We met online, and 8/17 is the anniversary of our first date, as well (8/17/2017). Sam read in Sue's profile that she was a big Phillies fan, so Sam opened up the conversation by asking if Sue had been to a game that season.

Sue proposed to Sam on 4/30/2021 in Stone Harbor. Sam doesn't love the beach (not a fan of sand), but Sue really wanted to walk down to the beach as soon as we arrived. Sam knew Sue really wanted to go to the beach before it started to rain, so she went along. We were going down the path, and the sand was becoming looser. Sam had no idea that this was supposed to be the proposal, and turned around to start walking away from the beach to get to an area where the sand was more tightly packed. When Sue dropped to one knee, Sam immediately said, "What are you doing?!?"

About a month later, Sam proposed back to Sue in their apartment. Other proposal plans fell through due to family having covid, so Sam got a fake scratch-off from that revealed the prize of "Will you marry me?". Sue didn't want a ring, so Sam found cufflinks that had pieces of a baseball that was used in a game when the Phillies won the 2008 World Series."

Sam let me know that her mother may not be able to make the length of time the portraits would take due to her family's recent bout with Covid. Her mom dialed in on facetime to see her daughter say "I do" to the love of her life.
